Sick and Alone

That sounds so depressing, doesn't it?

I'm just going to wallow in self-pity for several more minutes.

Okay, I'm done.

Anyways, the title of this post, while it may sound rather melodramatic, is entirely accurate. I am sick, which is just awful in the summer. But, I'm also alone, all weekend. Zeke and Andy both have baseball tournaments - Zeke in Kansas City, Andy in Joplin - and Abby is up in Michigan. So here I am, the whole house to myself. But I'm sick. Hopefully, this weekend will consist of several things. 1. Rest and recuperation. 2. A crazy awesome fun evening with my dear friend from St. Louis, Jenna. 3. Cleaning house. 4. Running several loads of laundry. 5. Catching up on my letter writing. and 6. Scrapbooking a large number of Pirates pages.

Hopefully.

Wait, were "cleaning house" and "several loads of laundry" included in the 'hopefully'??=) Glad to hear you're actually missing me.=) Good thing you weren't here when I fell off Empress!....

Sick and home alone means you should read a book. It's the perfect combination. Fruit and chocolate make it even better!

Unfortunately, Becky doesn't like chocolate - can you believe it?! And she did manage to clean the outside refrigerator, which needed it BADLY. Thanks, honey!
BTW, just in case anyone is wondering what kind of a mother would leave her daughter home sick, I want everyone to know that I took Elizabeth with me to a baseball tournament so Becky could be alone and rest! E. did really well, and it was a great, though hot and tiring weekend.
