The Importance of Prayer

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
~Hebrews 4:15-16

"And pray in the Spirit on all ocassions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."
~Ephesians 6:18

"Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
~James 5:13, 15-16

"Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything,by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. "
~Philippians 4:6

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. "
~Romans 8:26
